The Maak de Drukker Drukker poster is a foldable double sided poster made as an assignment for NPN Drukkers. Local printing houses slowly disapear because of cheaper alternatives. It’s important that these local printing houses exist as the quality and human interaction can’t be replaced by cheap and fast printing solutions.
The poster features a slogan that says: “Maak de drukker drukker” (make the printer print more).
The poster is a homage to printer techniques and the accuracy of high quality print. The dots that are carefully placed on top of each other create a layered grid like effect. The front side consist of different colored dots which make up the slogan whilst the backside is made up of one dots of only one color to finish the grid like appearance and resembles the inner workings/rhythm of the printer. The poster is printed on slightly transparent paper so the front and back together create the full poster.
